As a metal technician in mechanical engineering, you will manufacture and assemble machines and machine parts.
You will mainly be involved in the assembly, maintenance and repair of production lines, assembly and conveyor belts, lifts, lifting and transport equipment and the like. As part of maintenance and service work, you will replace defective machine parts and components and also manufacture spare parts yourself.
As a metal technician in mechanical engineering, you will process metals and operate computerised systems and equipment.
