To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated Service and Applications Engineer (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible – someone with a technical understanding and a passion for machinery, automation and direct customer contact.
In this role, you will combine commissioning, technical service and application engineering. You will oversee our machines from the pre-commissioning stage, through integration at the customer’s site, right through to the technical support of the installed machines. In doing so, you will analyse and resolve technical issues, support our customers and feed your experience from the field back into our company.
Your tasks:
- In-house commissioning of our machines by our application engineering team
- Preparation and implementation, or technical support, for commissioning at customer sites
- Integration of our machines into our customers’ existing processes
- Support during machine commissioning, functional testing and agreed customer acceptance tests
- Technical support for our installed machinery both at home and abroad
- Carrying out service, maintenance and inspection visits
- Carrying out structured fault analyses and troubleshooting via remote support and on-site at customers’ premises
- Technical support for our customers and service partners should any queries arise
- Documentation of fault patterns, operating conditions, tests carried out and their results
- Documentation of commissioning, service visits and technical findings
- Feedback on recurring fault patterns and experiences from customer operations to the relevant internal specialist departments
- Contributing to the creation and further development of checklists, service manuals and knowledge structures
- Contributing to lessons learnt and to the ongoing improvement of our service and commissioning processes
Your profile:
- Completed technical training in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, automation technology or a comparable field (apprenticeship, master craftsman’s qualification, technical college, HTL or equivalent qualification)
- A sound technical understanding of the interplay between mechanics, electrical engineering, control systems, software and machine applications
- Experience in mechanical engineering, commissioning, technical support, automation or production engineering would be an advantage
- Ability to carry out a structured and transparent error analysis
- Safe handling of technical documentation and digital tools
- An independent, meticulous and solution-oriented approach to work
- A strong focus on customers and service
- Clear and objective communication with customers, sales partners and internal departments
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional and technical development
- Reliability in documenting, providing feedback on and completing assigned tasks
- A professional and confident manner when dealing with customers
- Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to share knowledge
- Excellent written and spoken German
- Good written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel for approximately 25–30 % for domestic and international assignments

The minimum gross salary stipulated in the collective agreement is €2,948.85. We offer our staff a salary in line with market rates and performance, depending on their qualifications and experience, which we determine jointly during the interview process and which may exceed the figures set out in the collective agreement.
